Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Tuesday criticized Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge for his 'terrorist' remarks about Prime Minister Narendra Modi, calling them an insult to India's democratic dignity. Pradhan expressed his views on X, stating that Kharge's comments reflect the Congress's weakened mindset under Rahul Gandhi.
Pradhan emphasized that such language against the Prime Minister is an attack on the mandate of 1.4 billion people. He argued that the public has rejected Congress's negative politics, citing the absence of vision and credible leadership within the party. He also praised Modi's nation-first leadership.
During a press conference in Chennai, Kharge explained that his remark was not literal but aimed at highlighting how Modi 'terrorises' political parties by allegedly misusing governmental power. He accused Modi of abusing government machinery to suppress opposition.
