Himachal Pradesh Urban Elections: Voter Power at Play

Himachal Pradesh gears up for urban local body elections slated for May 17, as announced by State Election Commissioner Anil Khachi on Tuesday.
The elections will be held over 51 urban local bodies, consisting of four municipal corporations which will conduct elections based on party symbols, and numerous municipal councils and nagar panchayats, which will not.
Comprehensive voting infrastructure will be implemented, with 589 voting centers and additional auxiliary centers to accommodate voter turnout. Khachi assured thorough preparation and coordination with the state police and home department for maintaining law and order during the polls.
