In a spirited pitch before the Tamil Nadu Elections 2026, Vijay, the leader of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), pledged an array of welfare initiatives, promising immediate action upon securing power. During a rally in Chennai, Vijay announced 200 free electricity units for households, free bus travel for women, and legislation targeting women's safety and drug-related issues.

Voicing his party's stance, Vijay labeled DMK as his "political enemy" and BJP as his "policy enemy," asserting, "You can trust your Vijay 100 percent." He accused Chief Minister MK Stalin of failing to fulfill election promises, highlighting tax increases and mounting state debt, while alleging secret collusions between DMK and BJP for power retention.

Vijay confidently predicted a DMK loss in the upcoming elections, urging voters to endorse the Whistle symbol. He criticized AIADMK leader Edappadi K. Palaniswami and called for political renewal in Tamil Nadu. With a message resonating with voters across the state, he dismissed election surveys, confident of a "Whistle wave" signaling TVK's successful campaign.
