Vijayawada Mock Drill Highlights Crucial Fire Safety Preparedness

In a concerted effort to enhance fire safety preparedness across the region, the Fire Services Department conducted a public awareness program and mock drill at PVP Mall, Vijayawada. This event is part of a broader statewide initiative aimed at promoting fire accident prevention and effective emergency response.

The program, held under the slogan 'Safe School - Safe Hospital - Fire Safety Society, Together for Fire Prevention,' aims to enhance safety awareness among students and the general public. Live mock drills were demonstrated by fire officials, showcasing vital steps to take during fire emergencies, evacuation procedures, and emergency response techniques.

Fire Safety Additional Director Gyanasundaram emphasized the critical importance of calm and timely responses during emergencies and highlighted the role of awareness campaigns during Fire Service Week in fostering a safety-conscious culture. He also underscored that many fire-related accidents can be avoided through careful handling of gas cylinders and electrical appliances.
