The investigation also extends to Teen Chat and Chat Avenue, where regulators are evaluating if these services have implemented necessary measures to avert grooming risks. Despite discussions with these companies, Ofcom remains unconvinced about their compliance with child protection standards.

Director of Enforcement at Ofcom, Suzanne Cater, warned of serious repercussions under the Online Safety Act if these platforms do not intensify their child safety protocols. This bold stance highlights the regulator's commitment to safeguarding young internet users from exploitation.
