Nida Khan, an employee at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), is embroiled in a controversy involving allegations of forcible conversions and sexual harassment at the company's Nashik unit. The police have registered nine FIRs and apprehended eight individuals so far in relation to the case.
The accused, along with others, reportedly mocked Hindu religious practices, trying to provoke the victims. Khan has been evading arrest, and police efforts to locate her have intensified since she failed to secure interim protection from arrest.
The investigation has prompted calls for restructuring the company's POSH committee to address and meet harassment issues more effectively. TCS maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward harassment and has suspended implicated employees.
