A local court in Nashik has refrained from granting interim arrest protection to Nida Khan, accused in a high-profile sexual harassment and religious coercion case connected to Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). The court directed the police to respond to Khan's plea by April 27.

The Nashik police's Special Investigation Team, investigating nine cases of molestation at TCS, is actively seeking Khan across Maharashtra. Khan, who is two months pregnant, sought anticipatory bail and protection from arrest, but Judge K G Joshi deferred any decision, requiring police and complainants to respond.

The SIT has detained eight individuals related to exploitation allegations at TCS's Nashik unit. Accusers claim coercion into religious practices. Khan faces charges under multiple legal provisions, while TCS reiterates its zero-tolerance policy on harassment, suspending implicated employees.
