The Nashik police Crime Branch is actively pursuing an investigation into allegations of religious conversion and sexual harassment at a Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) unit. The probe has led officers to Mumbra where they are seeking a woman accused in the case, according to an official source.
The Crime Branch arrived in Mumbra, Thane district, on a mission to locate the accused, whose involvement was reported following complaints in Nashik. Authorities believe the suspect has been residing in Mumbra for two months to evade arrest.
The Nashik police, who have formed a special investigation team, are exploring various leads. The team has been divided into units, with one currently stationed in Mumbra to track down the suspect. Eight arrests have been made, with a continued investigation into multiple harassment claims and forced religious conversions at TCS.
