In a significant law enforcement action, police in Ahmedabad district of Gujarat have apprehended a man accused of issuing death threats to Samrat Choudhary just before his swearing-in as Bihar's Chief Minister. Authorities announced the arrest on Friday.

The suspect, Shekhar Yadav, hails from Sanand taluka in Ahmedabad. He was detained on Thursday following an investigation that revealed his call to Choudhary's office threatening harm, explained Om Prakash Jat, Ahmedabad Rural Superintendent of Police.

The investigation involved cooperation between Gujarat and Bihar police, utilizing technical and human intelligence to locate Yadav. After his arrest, he admitted to the crime. Meanwhile, the motive behind the threats will be further examined by the Bihar police as Yadav has been transferred to their custody.
