In a tragic incident, a railway police constable allegedly took his own life in Maharashtra's Beed district, authorities revealed on Friday.
The deceased, identified as 30-year-old Nitin Pandit Dhage from Lohara in Dharashiv district, was stationed at the Parli Vaijnath railway station. Despite a scheduled day off, he had returned to duty after a brief three-day leave.
Dhage was found hanging in a room in the Madhavbag area of Parli Vaijnath town. The official disclosed that while the motive behind the alleged suicide remains unclear, the constable was preparing for his wedding scheduled on May 7. An investigation is underway, with a case registered at the Sambhajinagar police station.
