The Elite Action Group for Drug Law Enforcement (EAGLE) in Telangana conducted a surprise raid at a pub in Kondapur, apprehending seven individuals on charges of consuming narcotic drugs. The operation took place between March 2 and 3, coordinated with the Gachibowli Police Station staff.
The raid followed credible intelligence about a party featuring international DJ Black Coffee. EAGLE formed six teams to carry out the raid, targeting 64 attendees suspected of drug consumption. Random checks with drug testing kits confirmed positive results for ganja and benzodiazepine in four individuals, followed by positive tests for ganja and methamphetamine in three more attendees.
The raid is part of a broader operation to combat drug abuse in public spaces across the region. A police case has been registered under the NDPS Act, with further investigations underway. Authorities have collected information about the individuals' networks for follow-up actions, including contacting their guardians for de-addiction interventions.
