A former minister in Maharashtra, Omprakash alias Bachchu Kadu, is facing serious accusations after being charged with conspiring to murder the brother of a BJP MLA in Amravati district, officials revealed on Friday.
The police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) against Kadu and another individual at the Chandur Bazar police station under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including criminal conspiracy, abetment of offence, and concealing design to commit offence, as stated by law enforcement.
The case emerged following a complaint by Abhijit Tayade, brother of BJP MLA Pravin Tayade. He submitted audio recordings allegedly capturing conversations about the plot. These recordings are currently under forensic examination to determine their authenticity, said an officer involved in the investigation.
