Major Narcotics Bust: Inter-State Smugglers Nabbed Near Jammu

On Wednesday, the anti-narcotics task force made a significant breakthrough with the arrest of four inter-state narcotics smugglers near Jammu city. The operation led to the seizure of approximately 10 kg of cannabis, valued at over Rs 30 lakh.
The operation unfolded on the Jammu-Srinagar national highway when a cab carrying the suspects was intercepted near IIM Nagrota. Based on specific intelligence inputs, the ANTF team executed a thorough search, adhering to legal protocols.
The detained individuals, identified as Amar Chand, Sachin Verma, Vijay Verma, and Aakash Ramsuhel Verma, are believed to be part of a larger narcotics syndicate. Initial investigations suggest the cannabis was sourced from Ramban for distribution in Mumbai, indicating an extensive network beyond Jammu and Kashmir.
