In a shocking turn of events, two Delhi police officers have been arrested and suspended for allegedly robbing a businessman of Rs 8.4 lakh. The incident took place near Ajmal Khan Park, where the businessman was allegedly coerced by the accused, Sub-inspector Mahavir and Constable Vicky.
The businessman, identified as Deepak Soni from Uttar Pradesh, lodged a complaint after the incident. He claimed he was lured to Delhi under the pretense of a business meeting, only to be ambushed by the officers who forcibly entered his car, threatened him, and made away with his cash.
This has prompted a swift response from senior police officials, leading to the immediate suspension of the officers. A case has been registered, and investigations are ongoing to locate another suspect named Anil, believed to have lured Soni to the city under false pretenses.
