Drones Cross Baltic Borders: Unmasking The Invisible Conflict
Drones reportedly originating from Ukraine have been detected in Estonia, with intentions aimed at Russia. This occurs amid Ukraine’s intensified attacks on Russia's oil infrastructures. The Baltic states and Finland are now on alert, coordinating with Ukraine to mitigate any future overspills into their territories.
Estonian armed forces have reported the detection of drones believed to have been launched from Ukraine, targeting Russia, as similar incidents reverberate across the Baltic region.
NATO’s Baltic Air Policing mission has responded to these airspace breaches. Such violations are tied to Russia’s ongoing war against Ukraine. Further complications arose as a Ukrainian drone was found on Finnish soil, carrying explosives.
Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha affirmed that collaboration with neighboring countries is underway to prevent recurrence. He emphasized that these incidents stem from Russia's deliberate actions, not Ukrainian intentions.
