In a direct challenge to the Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu administration, Himachal Pradesh Opposition leader Jai Ram Thakur accused the government of operating on temporary measures, compromising law enforcement and administration in the state. He criticized the supposed misuse of cabinet ranks, claiming they benefited the chief minister's allies unjustly.
The state government recently revoked cabinet ranks for advisors and top officials. Thakur alleged this act was merely an attempt to deceive the public rather than curb unnecessary costs.
