Milan prosecutors have taken action against luxury fashion brands Alberto Aspesi and Dama SpA, citing alleged labor exploitation. According to legal documents, these brands are under judicial supervision due to claims of exploitation of migrant workers, further blemishing the image of Italy's luxury sector.

This development means that a total of seven high-end brands are now under various forms of judicial oversight. An additional 13 brands have been inspected for similar labor violations. These actions continue to cast a shadow over the industry's reputation, with allegations centering on subcontracted Chinese workshops employing undocumented labor.

The decree outlines a concerning system in which these fashion brands outsource production to exploitative conditions, with workers subjected to long hours, low wages, and unsafe environments. Investigations are ongoing, focusing on relationships between the Italian brands and Chinese subcontractors. The case also involves notable figures linked to the companies, adding a layer of political intrigue.
