Kashmiri Migrants' Land Rights Preserved: Govt Stands Firm

The Deputy Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Surinder Choudhary, confirmed that there have been no violations of legal procedures in acquiring land belonging to Kashmiri migrants, underlining the commitment to justice for the displaced community. He addressed concerns in response to a question by CPI(M) legislator M Y Tarigami.
Choudhary assured that all land acquisitions are conducted following the legal framework, including notification and verification processes. The government's focus remains on protecting the service interests of the Kashmiri migrants employed through the Prime Minister's Special Package.
Further updates included the government's efforts to regulate employment processes for migrants, ensuring fair treatment and career progression. On registration delays, Choudhary acknowledged the procedural intricacies and emphasized continuous improvements to safeguard migrant interests.
