Heroes of Jharkhand Police Honored for Anti-Naxal Operation

The Jharkhand Police made headlines on Friday as 14 of its officers and personnel were awarded the prestigious 'Kendriya Grihmantri Dakshata Padak' for their exemplary contributions during a special anti-Naxal operation in Bokaro district.
This accolade, also known as the Union Home Minister's Medal for Excellence 2025, honors the efforts of senior officers such as IG Homkar Amol Vinukant and DIG Indrajeet Mahatha, alongside others, for their exceptional work in law enforcement.
Instituted by the Ministry of Home Affairs in 2024, the award highlights the achievements of the police force in special operations, investigation, and other fields, with an annual announcement on October 31, commemorating Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's birth anniversary.
