The prestigious Kendriya Grihmantri Dakshata Padak for 2025 has been bestowed upon 1,466 police personnel across India. Among them are 40 officers from the Jammu and Kashmir Police and CRPF, who played a crucial role in neutralizing terrorists implicated in the Pahalgam incident.

Inspector General V K Birdi and Senior Superintendent of Police G V Sundeep Chakraborty were honored for Operation Mahadev, which successfully targeted the masterminds behind the Pahalgam attack, aiding in dismantling terror structures.

The award, initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and guided by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, aims to boost morale, with accolades for special operations, investigation, and forensic excellence, announced on October 31 annually to commemorate Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's birth anniversary.
