In a recent press briefing, Chhattisgarh's Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his relentless efforts in empowering women across India. Sai noted, "Prime Minister Modi has consistently advocated for women's respect and empowerment since taking office."

Chief Minister Sai highlighted major government initiatives, including the construction of toilets, the Jan Dhan financial inclusion scheme, and the provision of gas cylinders under the Ujjwala Yojana. He pointed out the hurdles faced in passing the Women's Reservation Bill, intended to offer a 33% quota for women in Parliament. Despite Modi's efforts to convene a special session from April 16 to 18, opposition parties obstructed the bill's passage.

Prime Minister Modi expressed his discontent during a rally in West Bengal, criticizing the Trinamool Congress and accusing them of undermining women's empowerment. Modi labeled the Women's Reservation Bill's failure as a "conspiracy" by the TMC and Congress and described the state government as a "ruthless government." He emphasized the BJP's commitment to expanding women's roles in politics, urging for greater female participation in building a developed India.
