In a decisive move, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has mandated that all departments devise concrete action plans for the swift execution of the 2026-27 budget announcements.

At a recent meeting with senior officials, Saini emphasized delivering details of all announcements to the grassroots via Gram Sabha meetings. Discussions and resolutions are to be conducted at these meetings, with outcomes reported directly to the Chief Minister's Office. This effort is part of a broader initiative to bolster agricultural support, including schemes like the Bhavantar Bharpai Yojana and the Chief Minister Horticulture Insurance Scheme, which now covers 46 crop types.

A key highlight is the increased compensation under the horticulture insurance scheme, with payments for fruit crops rising from Rs 40,000 to Rs 50,000 per acre, and for vegetables and spices from Rs 30,000 to Rs 40,000 per acre due to natural disasters.

Saini's directive includes conducting meetings of all 775 Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) in Haryana, emphasizing collective efforts to boost farmer incomes in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision. The government aims to meet the national target of forming 10,000 FPOs, with Haryana allotted 172.
