Odisha's New Visa Centre Boosts Global Connectivity
Odisha's Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi inaugurated a new Visa Application Centre in Bhubaneswar, enhancing international visa services access. This facility, supported by the central government, caters to ten countries, underscoring Odisha's focus on global connectivity, tourism, and citizen-centric services, marking a milestone in the state's international engagement initiatives.

Chief Minister of Odisha, Mohan Charan Majhi, inaugurated a state-of-the-art Visa Application Centre in Bhubaneswar, establishing new avenues for international visa services in the region. Majhi emphasized this development as a reflection of Odisha's increasing global connectivity and dedication to citizen-focused services.
This significant expansion was realized with the support of the central government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, fulfilling the state's request for such a facility. Previously, residents had to travel to Kolkata for visa applications, highlighting the necessity of this new centre which facilitates services for ten countries including the UK, Japan, and Italy.
Located within the Baba Saheb Ambedkar Bus Terminal, the centre spans 3,000 square feet and is part of VFS Global's extensive network, which serves 70 governments worldwide. The centre aims to streamline the visa process, enhancing ease of access for Odisha's citizens and boosting international engagement and tourism.
