Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu inaugurated a new LPG bottling plant, marking a significant advancement toward energy self-sufficiency in the state. The Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) facility at Papu Nallah will not only ease distribution bottlenecks but also spur industrial growth and economic activity in the region.
Spread over 46,000 square metres, the plant features three modern LPG storage bullets, holding a combined capacity of 87 metric tonnes, and is capable of refilling 3,000 LPG cylinders per shift. This ensures a strengthened gas supply chain, providing reliable access to clean cooking fuel for many households, according to an official statement.
Chief Minister Khandu highlighted the challenges faced due to the shutdown of the Kimin bottling plant and how the new facility will alleviate issues for nearly 95 agencies across the state. Additionally, Khandu commended Bamang Amer for her leadership in completing the project after her husband's demise, positioning her family as role models for Arunachal's youth.
