Camouflage Clothing Ban Enforced in Arunachal Pradesh Forest Areas

The ban aims to prevent mistaken identities by defense forces and civilians are restricted from entering the forest after sunset.

In a bid to address security concerns, the Tirap district administration of Arunachal Pradesh has imposed a ban on civilians wearing camouflage or military-pattern clothing during hunting and fishing activities. This move is aimed at averting possible mistaken identities by defense personnel amid growing militant activities in the region.
The official order, issued by Tirap Deputy Commissioner Techu Aran, strictly prohibits civilians from using camouflage attire or carrying arms while participating in hunting or fishing. The restriction applies to forested areas across the districts of Tirap, Changlang, Longding, and Namsai.
Civilians are also barred from entering forest areas for hunting or fishing after sunset. Any violations of this order will attract legal consequences and penalties as stipulated by the law, the administration warned.
