Defence Minister Emphasizes Stronger Synergy for National Security

In a significant address on Police Commemoration Day, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh stressed the critical need for optimal resource utilization through enhanced coordination among security agencies. Speaking at the National Police Memorial in New Delhi, Singh underscored the interdependence between society and police forces, advocating for a balanced relationship to strengthen the security framework.
The Defence Minister pointed out that effective policing requires the active cooperation and respect of citizens for the law. He urged the public to work alongside law enforcement to bolster internal security, contributing to a safer society. During the event, Singh honoured police and paramilitary personnel who sacrificed their lives for national safety, marking the memory of those who died in the 1959 Ladakh ambush.
Addressing present-day security challenges, Singh noted rising crimes and ideological conflicts, calling for vigilance to maintain national stability. He praised the efforts against Naxalite threats, highlighting significant advancements and promising an end by next March. Under PM Modi's leadership, police forces have received modern upgrades, reinforcing national security, he concluded.
