Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, during his two-day visit to Jaisalmer, reviewed the Indian Army's 'Thar Shakti' exercise near the Indo-Pak border. The exercise demonstrated the Indian armed forces' enhanced capabilities in desert warfare, showcasing advanced technology like robotic mules and drones.
While at the Laungewala border post, Singh commended the soldiers for their courage and professionalism. The drill included modern combat platforms, highlighting India's focus on integrating technology into its defense strategies. Singh also paid tribute to the soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the 1971 war at the Laungewala War Memorial.
Additionally, Singh visited the Tanot Mata temple, accompanied by senior army officials, where he performed traditional rituals and reflected on the temple's historical significance during past conflicts. His visit underscored a blend of faith and military preparedness.
