India's elite financial landscape is expected to expand dramatically by 2031, with projections showing 25,217 ultra-high net worth individuals (UHNWI) and 313 billionaires, according to Knight Frank's latest report.
At present, 19,877 UHNWIs and 207 billionaires call India home, ranking it sixth globally in this exclusive category. Mumbai leads the nation, comprising 35.4% of India's ultra-wealthy population.
The burgeoning wealth, fueled by technology, industrials, and capital markets, aligns with India's economic evolution towards a more entrepreneurial and globally connected market, said Shishir Baijal, Chairman and Managing Director of Knight Frank India.
