Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant announced plans to fill 2,500 government roles through a transparent process managed by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC). He spoke of the initiative at a job fair organized by the Goa Human Resources Development Corporation Limited near Panaji.
The fair witnessed participation from 25 leading private companies and 6,000 applicants, with interviews already underway. Sawant emphasized that appointment letters will be distributed by May 1, underscoring the state's robust recruitment drive in both the public and private sectors.
Highlighting the importance of self-employment, Sawant detailed loan schemes by the Economic Development Corporation and startup financial aid from the IT department, encouraging local youth to seize emerging opportunities, particularly in the events industry, to compete against agencies from outside Goa.
