Police have made a significant breakthrough in combating drug peddling in Jammu and Kashmir's Samba district, arresting three individuals found in possession of a heroin-like substance.
The arrests occurred during routine checks as part of the ongoing 'Nasha Mukt Abhiyan', initiated to curb drug abuse in the region.
Officials confirmed that the suspects were intercepted while traveling on a scooty near Rakh Barotian in Vijaypur, leading to the seizure of the suspected contraband and the vehicle. A case has been registered, and investigations continue at the Vijaypur police station.
