Tragic Collision on Bijnor Highway Claims Lives

A tragic collision occurred on the Bijnor highway, resulting in the deaths of a woman and her three-month-old son, police reported on Tuesday. The unfortunate incident left nine others injured after a speeding car rammed into a tractor-trolley, causing both vehicles to topple.

The collision took place near the Ughaiti area when the car collided head-on with the oncoming tractor-trolley. This accident threw several passengers onto the road, creating panic among onlookers.

According to Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural) Hirdesh Kumar Katheriya, the victims, residents of Basoma village, were en route to a ceremony in Samadnagar village. The injured were promptly transported to Rudayan Community Health Centre. While medical staff worked diligently, Suman, aged 24, and her infant son were tragically declared dead. The accident caused significant traffic congestion, which police later addressed. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
