Tragic Collision: Speeding Car Claims Four Lives in Katni

A tragic road accident unfolded on Monday night in Madhya Pradesh's Katni district, claiming four lives and injuring five others, police reported on Tuesday.

The deadly incident occurred on the Jagatpur-Umaria road at around 11:30 pm when a speeding car collided head-on with a motorcycle carrying four men, according to Barwara police station in-charge KK Patel.

Following the loud collision, locals rushed to the scene, resulting in significant traffic chaos. Police quickly arrived and transported the motorcycle riders to the Barwara Community Health Centre, where they were pronounced dead. The car's occupants were treated for serious injuries and referred to a district hospital. Authorities have filed charges against the car driver, and the deceased have been identified as four young men returning from work in Maharashtra.
