The Deputy Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Chowna Mein, presented a budget of Rs 36,607 crore for the fiscal year 2026-27, with a strategic focus on bolstering infrastructure and fostering economic growth.
The budget outlines six key sectors, including people-centric development, economic growth, and governance reforms. With an allocation of Rs 2,038 crore to enhance infrastructure, and Rs 3,320 crore for development initiatives, the plan emphasizes the importance of connectivity, education, and energy production.
Despite an 8.1% reduction due to decreased central allocation, Mein asserts the budget's potential to benefit every sector of society, highlighting the goal of preserving cultural heritage while pursuing modern development practices.
