HARMAN Expands Pune Facility with Major Investment in Automotive Connectivity
HARMAN, a subsidiary of Samsung Electronics, will invest Rs 345 crore in expanding its automotive electronics manufacturing facility in Pune. This expansion will create 300 jobs and enhance production capacity with new technologies, making the Pune plant a global hub for connected car technology.

HARMAN, an influential player in connected automotive technologies and a subsidiary of Samsung Electronics, has unveiled plans to bolster its automotive electronics manufacturing prowess. The company has announced an investment of Rs 345 crore (USD 42 million) over the upcoming three years into its facility located at Chakan, Pune.
This investment includes an immediate allocation of Rs 45 crore (USD 5.5 million), followed by Rs 300 crore (USD 36.5 million) dedicated to advancing telematics and next-gen automotive connectivity programs. Since its inception in 2014, HARMAN's cumulative investment in this plant has surged to Rs 554 crore (USD 67 million).
The expansion is set to generate 300 new jobs in Pune by 2027. It will enhance the plant's production capabilities by 50 percent, introducing new product lines such as 5G and 4G telematics solutions and establishing the facility as a global hub for connected car technologies.
