India Leads Global Charge Against Doping in Sports

Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Mansukh Mandaviya, on Thursday, reiterated India's unwavering commitment to maintaining clean sports and enhancing the national sports framework through critical policy reforms. His address at the WADA Intelligence and Investigations conference underlined Prime Minister Narendra Modi's consistent emphasis on sports integrity and the eradication of doping.

Mandaviya welcomed delegates to the conference held in India, spotlighting significant reforms like the Sports Governance Bill and the Anti-Doping Amendment Bill, which aim to strengthen sports governance and anti-doping efforts. A national movement focuses on eliminating doping and safeguarding competitive sports' integrity across the country.

The Minister also pointed out the importance of international collaboration and shared that India is establishing new WADA-compliant drug testing laboratories. He stressed the necessity for robust partnerships between governments, regulators, and sports bodies, affirming India's commitment to excellence and integrity in sports on a global scale.
