India and Austria: Expanding Horizons in Trade and Innovation

President Droupadi Murmu has highlighted the vast opportunities for Austrian investment in emerging Indian markets, particularly in key sectors such as semiconductors, green energy, and artificial intelligence.

Her remarks came during a meeting with Christian Stocker, Federal Chancellor of Austria, at Rashtrapati Bhavan, following Stocker's first visit to India.

The discussions followed the recent India-EU Free Trade Agreement, which is expected to enhance trade ties further. The bilateral cooperation is set to expand in science, technology, and innovation, powered by the successful India-Austria Start-up Bridge launched in 2024.
