The Delimitation Bill has sparked a debate in Andhra Pradesh as IT Minister and newly appointed TDP working president Nara Lokesh expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his assurance of fairness in the process. Sharing his views on social media platform 'X', Lokesh emphasized that there would be no injustice to any state during the parliamentary seat redistribution.

However, Congress's Andhra Pradesh vice president Kolanukonda Sivaji raised concerns, suggesting the central government might use the redistricting for political advantage. Speaking at a press conference, Sivaji criticized the intertwining of women's reservation with political gains and urged for transparency and inclusiveness in the decision-making process.

Speaking on potential regional impacts, Sivaji warned that southern states, particularly Andhra Pradesh, could suffer due to population-based quota changes in seat allocation. These adjustments, he argued, favor regions with higher population growths, undermining the equitable representation of southern states in the Lok Sabha.
