Nikhat Zareen, Priya, and Preeti Pawar have successfully advanced to the semifinals of the Asian Boxing Championships, assuring India of at least three medals. On Friday, Nikhat demonstrated decisive control in the women's 51kg quarterfinal, achieving a first-round RSC win over Xian Baguhin of the Philippines. She now faces a formidable semifinal challenge against China's Wu Yu, the 2024 Olympics gold medalist.

In the women's 60kg bracket, Priya showed notable composure and maturity, securing a 4-1 victory over China's Chengyu Yang. Her next opponent will be Mongolia's Namuun Monkhor, as she battles for a spot in the final. Complementing these achievements, Preeti delivered an outstanding performance in the women's 54kg category. The gold medalist from the World Boxing Cup Finals, Preeti, clinched a 5-0 unanimous decision over Mongolia's Mungun Tsetseg, advancing to face Im Aeji in the semis.

On the men's side, Deepak faced elimination in the 70kg category after a 1-4 quarterfinal loss to Jordan's Zeyad Eashash, concluding his championship bid.
