On Day 8 of the Khelo India Tribal Games, Karnataka celebrated significant victories as race walker Dasharath Talawar and middle-distance runner Nagini secured gold medals to lead the medal tally.
Chhattisgarh's Gajendra Thakur also marked his achievement by bagging a silver in the men's 800m. Despite fierce competition, Karnataka emerged triumphant with a remarkable 1-2 finish in the men’s 10km race walk.
Meanwhile, Odisha and Jharkhand excelled with gold medals, showcasing their stellar performance in athletics, as Chhattisgarh's football team clinched a victorious final spot against Arunachal Pradesh.
