TCA Calls for HCA's Rustication and Major Restructuring of Telangana Cricket
The Telangana Cricket Association (TCA) demands the complete rustication of the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) and seeks recognition by the BCCI as Telangana's official cricket body. The Telangana Cricket Association (TCA) convened a statewide meeting in Hyderabad involving District Committees and the Governing Council, where they formally requested the complete rustication of the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) and urged the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to recognize TCA as the official cricket body for Telangana.
TCA claims that HCA is operating without constitutional compliance or administrative legitimacy, misleading the public with false promises of district cricket development. Despite interventions from the judiciary, TCA accuses HCA of perpetuating unconstitutional operations and is demanding reform to reflect grassroots efforts.
Amid mounting allegations, TCA has lodged criminal complaints and provided ten years' worth of financial misappropriation evidence against HCA to authorities. They're pushing for broader recognition of their efforts, as well as launching new state-level tournaments to promote equitable cricket access across Telangana’s districts.
