Rediscovering Robin: A New Twist on a Timeless Tale

A new TV series titled 'Robin Hood' aims to shed light on the legendary outlaw's origins with a unique personal narrative and unprecedented historical accuracy, according to the show's creators.

This fresh reimagining of the classic tale traces the journey of Robin Hood, from a simple Saxon forester's son to the hero who famously robbed the rich to feed the poor. Australian actor Jack Patten takes on the role in what marks his first leading performance, unburdened by the weight of previous portrayals.

Set in the 12th century, post-Norman invasion England, the series also highlights Robin's romance with Marian and tackles themes of class struggle. It will begin streaming on MGM+ from November 2, featuring an ensemble cast that includes Sean Bean and Connie Nielsen.
