Union Minister Jitendra Singh has identified green entrepreneurship as a pivotal force in shaping the economy of the future, with renewable energy, electric mobility, and green fuels poised to generate extensive employment opportunities. Speaking at the national conference on 'Environmental Sustainability in the 21st Century' at Jamia Millia Islamia, Singh emphasized the importance of adopting emerging technologies and renewable energy sources.
The minister foresees significant job growth across sectors like solar manufacturing, battery production, and grid management, driven by green initiatives like the National Green Hydrogen Mission. This shift is expected not only to generate jobs but also to propel India's transition towards sustainable and low-carbon growth.
Addressing environmental sustainability, Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi warned of the dangers of unchecked deforestation linked to rapid urbanization, impacting climate and biodiversity. JMI Vice-Chancellor Mazhar Asif encouraged sustainable practices, emphasizing recycling and resource conservation. The conference, supported by the Ministry of Earth Sciences, brought together delegates to discuss pressing environmental issues and future policies.
