North India's Sizzling Heatwave Alert

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted a heatwave striking major parts of northwest, central, and eastern India in the next few days. Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and Delhi should brace for intense heat on April 24 and 25.
From April 23 to 26, regions such as western Uttar Pradesh, eastern Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh will also face severe heat conditions. On the eastern front, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh anticipate similar weather from April 24 to 27.
States like Odisha, coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu, among others, will endure hot and humid weather. Conversely, the northeast will see scattered to widespread rainfall, with potential heavy showers during the week.
