Three lives, including two young boys and a woman, were tragically claimed by lightning strikes in Chitrakoot district, Uttar Pradesh, on Friday. In one incident, four boys were caught in a lightning strike while grazing goats, leading to the deaths of Vikas and Karan, both 13. Neeraj and Sumit sustained severe injuries and are currently receiving medical treatment.

A separate lightning strike incident claimed the life of Rajpatiya, a 50-year-old woman, in Kui Kala village. These alarming events highlight the perilous nature of lightning, especially during the monsoon season. Authorities are urging residents to exercise caution during heavy thunderstorms to prevent further tragedies.

Severe weather conditions continue to pose significant risks in the region, exacerbated by a lack of awareness and preparedness among the rural population. Efforts are ongoing to provide safety information and resources to prevent such devastating incidents in the future.
