The Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) has neutralized a potentially dangerous terror plot by arresting four individuals allegedly working under the guidance of Pakistani handlers. These suspects were reportedly planning attacks on crucial infrastructures, including railway systems, with the goal of inciting fear and disrupting economic stability.

According to official sources, the arrested individuals were linked to radical groups and communicated through encrypted platforms like Telegram, Signal, and Instagram. Their operations involved conducting reconnaissance on critical institutions and political figures, with plans to attack railway systems and vehicles. Delhi-based operative Saqib alias 'Devil' headed these efforts, being in regular contact with foreign entities.

Authorities discovered several foreign contacts on Saqib's phone, including numbers from Afghanistan. The group's planned attack near Lucknow railway station was intercepted, and they were arrested before they could execute their plan. All suspects face legal actions under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. Investigations suggest that the group's activities aimed at destabilizing India's unity and sovereignty.
