On Thursday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath met with Singapore High Commissioner to India, Simon Wong, in a courtesy call focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation across various sectors. The meeting, described as significant, underlined potential collaboration in investment, skill development, and cultural exchanges.
Wong affirmed the success of Adityanath's February visit to Singapore, which he stated increased global investor confidence and spotlighted Uttar Pradesh as an upcoming hub of opportunity. Singaporean businesses operating in the state view the investment environment as favourable and are set to expand their operations.
Both parties also discussed initiatives to foster employment through skill development programs and enhance Buddhist tourism at key locations like Kushinagar and Sarnath. An investment roadmap is being developed for regions like Noida, Greater Noida, Jhansi, and Varanasi, balancing development throughout the state.
