BJP MLA Rajeshwar Singh has made a compelling call to the Union and Uttar Pradesh governments, urging the creation of a high-level task force. The aim is to prepare a comprehensive climate resilience roadmap as part of the 'Viksit Bharat 2047' vision.
In response to the recent Global Tipping Points Report 2025, Singh highlighted the irreversible decline of warm-water coral reef systems, a critical concern threatening millions worldwide. He stressed the need for an analysis tailored to India's specific needs and proposed a national-level 'Tipping Point Risk Assessment Cell'.
Singh also advocated for integrating climate resilience into industrial projects and engaging youth in green initiatives. With 75% of India's districts identified as climate hotspots, immediate action is crucial for a climate-secure future.
