The recent Tamil Nadu Assembly election witnessed a historic 85.15% voter turnout, a figure that actor-politician and TVK leader Vijay believes has redefined regional election politics.
In a statement released on 'X', Vijay expressed gratitude to the voters who participated in what he described as a 'festival of democracy'. He highlighted the enthusiastic participation, including first-time voters and families who viewed the event with the fervor usually reserved for temple festivals.
Vijay also commended the dedication of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam's polling agents and members, who persisted despite criticism for their inexperience. Confident in his party's victory, Vijay remarked, 'Victory is certain, and good things will follow.'
