In an impressive demonstration of democratic engagement, Tamil Nadu witnessed a record voter turnout of 85.15% in the recent Assembly elections held on April 23. The PMK leader Dr. Anbumani Ramadoss claims this unprecedented participation will likely lead to a governmental change.
Tamil Nadu residents voted across 234 Assembly segments, setting a new record, according to Election Commission statistics. PMK, part of the AIADMK-led NDA alliance, contested 18 seats. Dr. Ramadoss emphasizes that this turnout is indicative of the people's desire for liberation from what he terms an 'evil regime.'
Dr. Ramadoss alleges that the incumbent DMK government failed in fundamental responsibilities like law enforcement, combating narcotics, and ensuring safety and employment. He praises Tamil Nadu's citizens for their continued commitment to democracy and peaceful revolution.
