Union Home Minister Amit Shah emphatically stated that the BJP will not permit the construction of a 'Babri Masjid' in West Bengal, declaring so passionately during a rally in Hooghly district.

He criticized TMC leader Mamata Banerjee for allegedly allowing suspended MLA Humayun Kabir to lay the foundations of a mosque mirroring the infamous Babri Masjid in Murshidabad. Shah pledged to combat infiltrators who he blames for depriving the poor of jobs and rations, promising justice once the BJP gains power.

With a win predicted before the May 5 election, Shah assured constituents of enhanced safety for women and pledged the revival of closed industries and subsequent job creation to rejuvenate Bengal’s economy.
